Pets love Liberty Art Fabrics

HANSEL-SLEEP

When you’re given a bundle of Liberty Art Fabrics what do you do? Jump up and down, squeal, have yourself a 30 second dance party, oh and make outfits for pets of course. I soon made bow ties, scarves and neck-a-chiefs for the pets of my friends and people I’ve met through the blog.  Hansel (my cat) is fashioning quite a fantastic number (see below).

Liberty’s creative heritage dates back to the opening of the store on Regent Street in 1875.  Arthur Liberty printed the first of the famous Liberty silks, imported from India and hand printed and dyed in England. From that date onwards Liberty developed its own in-house design team,  collaborated with top designers and world renowned brands. The fabric collection is vast, Liberty even has an archivist (read more). For more of the history of Liberty follow this link.

You can understand my excitement when receiving such a special fabric bundle, they were from both past season and current collections. All of which are so finely detailed and are just so so stunning!

Ok, get ready, introducing the most stylish pets wearing Liberty Art fabrics.

*Disclaimer – No pets were hurt during the making of the making of this blog post. In fact they were given extra treats and cuddles.*

If you’re inspired to dress your pet up, you don’t need use much fabric. My top tip is to get a few friends together and share the cost of the metre of fabric and have a fun night crafting together. Here are some great new patterns from Liberty that I’m currently obsessed with.
